Bio

Claire Stroh, MBA, PHR, SHRM-CP, is currently a Senior Talent Acquisition Business Partner at ATI Materials and CEO of Claire is Coaching LLC. She has used social media and networking to build her personal brand and uncover new opportunities for herself and the companies she’s worked for. She’s passionate about helping others do the same! Claire has more than 12 years of successively diverse human resources management experience with privately-owned and publicly-traded global leaders. She holds a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration with a concentration in HR from the University at Buffalo and an MBA from Niagara University. She is certified as a Professional in HR through SHRM and HRCI, and is an Adjunct Professor for HR at Niagara University. Claire is an active member, blogger, and speaker for SHRM, and she serves on the board of her local SHRM Chapter, BNHRA, as the Certification Director. She was named a HR Impact Award Winner by Buffalo Business First and Community Catalyst/Talent Acquisition Trailblazer Award Winner by HRUnite!.

Elevate and Uplift the Next Generation of HR Leaders

As a former SHRM Foundation Mentor and College Relations/Emerging Professionals Director for her local HR Association, Claire Stroh is passionate about helping the next generation of HR leaders learn from her mis-haps and get ahead in their careers! During this session Claire will guide the audience through best practices on learning and professional development, navigating the work place, building credibility, using social media, networking and advancing your career as a young/emerging HR professional. Target audience is young / emerging HR professionals, however experienced leaders are also encouraged to attend if they’d like to learn how to support their more junior staff.

Building your Personal Brand: How to communicate your value and network online to advance your career!

Join us for this engaging session with Claire Stroh where we’ll discuss showcasing your value and personal brand on and offline, and using social media to network and attract opportunities to yourself and your organization. Whether your goal is to attract candidates to your organization, boost sales, learn and find professional development opportunities, network with fellow HR pros, find a new job, (or all of them!) Claire’s connect, post and engage intentionally framework will help you communicate your value and network to grow! We’ll cover what is a personal brand and the importance of having one, how to develop, build and communicate your brand, and techniques to connect, post and engage online to build and communicate your brand.

I also really enjoy being a guest speaker in higher education and have presented this session for undergraduate and graduate student classes at Bowling Green State University, North Central College, University at Buffalo, Niagara University, and Colorado Technical University.

Recruiting Best Practices (Play the long game!)

As a talent acquisition practitioner for over 12 years, Claire Stroh is passionate about helping the organizations she’s worked for attract talent and lead them through the recruiting and hiring process. During this session Claire will guide the audience through best practices on recruiting tools, technology and process, while always considering stakeholder and candidate experience. Target audience is recruiting/talent acquisition practitioners or HR practitioners responsible for recruiting, and looking for a fresh perspective on setting themselves up for long-term success connecting with talent for their organizations. Learning objectives for this session will be to take the HR professional through the recruiting process from start to finish including job posting best practices, attracting candidates to apply, piquing interest on the role and organization, screening, submitting, and interviewing. A focus will be put on tools, technology and process through all of these items in the recruiting/hiring process.

Claire is a passionate and energizing speaker who excites and empowers individuals to take control of and use their LinkedIn profiles. Her easily implementable tips teach employees how they can get started growing their personal brand online with LinkedIn and leverage it for their professional success and success in their roles, which in turn helps your employer brand as well. The focus of this presentation is to introduce your employees to the power of LinkedIn, how to optimize their profiles and connect, post, and engage intentionally, learn what a personal brand is, and then how to develop, build and showcase it to grow and reach your goals such as attracting customers and candidates!
