I thought nothing could top last year’s SHRM Annual Conference and Exposition in Chicago, but after this year in Las Vegas I’ve learned that every year is likely to be better than the last! (Here’s my SHRM18 Wrap-Up if you missed it!)
I was reflecting on my flight home to Buffalo and I’m feeling so fulfilled, energized and supported. Being part of the #SHRM19Blogger team was really a special experience -it was great to catch up with friends I met in real life last year, as well as establish friendships in person with those whom I had met on social over the past year. I also love to write and share my thoughts and experiences, so doing this for SHRM and generating excitement before and during the conference is a lot of fun for me. I met all of the speakers and vendors who I had spoken to over the phone and they were all equally as excited to meet me!
Fulfilled because I got to spend 4 days doing what I love most – connecting, networking, sharing, learning and helping others.
Energized because I learned a lot from the passionate speakers as well as from my fellow attendees! I’m excited to use the information to further my career and to make me a better HR pro. My top strength in the Gallups StrengthsFinder is learner and I get energy from taking in new information!
Supported because I have the best friends in my HR and SHRM community. We know that we are better together. I’m also incredibly grateful to be supported by the SHRM staff, especially Mary Kaylor who makes me feel welcomed and encourages me to share ideas.
If you included me in any type of breakfast, lunch, dinner, happy-hour etc, thank you so much for inviting me and sharing your conference experience with me! ❤
I attended all of the sessions I had mentioned in my schedule blog post except the smart stage and wellness theatre. The day can change depending on SHRM store visits, certification lounge visits, etc and that’s okay! If you missed my schedule post, here are the sessions I attended. Let me know if you have any questions! (:
I tweeted during all of my sessions using #ClaireShares – to see what I thought were the best learnings and takeaways from each, visit the Wakelet collection here!
So many fun meet-ups and selfies took place – thank you to everyone who joined in the fun with me! Visit my #SHRM19 photo gallery here.
To say that #SHRM19 was a blast is an understatement. I can’t wait to see you at #SHRM20 in San Diego, but hopefully sooner!
